Ash-Shafi is one of the beautiful names of Allah and it means the Ultimate Healer, The Curer or the one the one that heals. It signifies that Allah is the only source of true healing of all forms of illness, whether physical, spiritual, mental or emotional. This implies that while humans may use medicines, doctors or treatments, the actual effect and recovery come from Allah alone.
Ash-Shafi is not generally listed among the 99 traditional names of Allah, but it is a name used by Prophet Muhammad PBUH in his supplications.
Muthanna or Mirror Writing is the calligraphic style used to paint this name in order to emphasize the omnipresence of the Almighty.
