Nakhl Fort is a large fortification in Al Batinah region of Oman. it is also known as Husn Al Heem (means Enchanting Castle). It's purpose was to guard the oasis of Nakhl, surrounding date palm gardens, mountain routes and a passageway to the thermal springs at Ain Al Thawarah.

The design and layout of the fort is unique for not following a rigid geometric pattern, instead being built directly over and around irregularly shaped rock formations.

The fort's origin dates back to pre-Islamic times (pre-7th Century) with significant rebuilds occuring over the centuries. In 1990 the fort underwent a major renovation by Sultan Qaboos Bin Said restoring it to it's current form.
