Flowers are key features in differentiating a plant. In human cultures flowers are used symbolically and feature in art, literature, religious practices, ritual and festivals. White Lilies or Madonna lilies are native to the Balkans and the Middle East. They symbolize purity and rebirth.
I consider all my floral paintings a 'Harmonious Interlude' as whenever one needs to destress, he only has to take time off and look at the painting and contemplate about Art in Nature. As Wordsworth's Poem 'Daffodils' suggests that thinking about something beautiful most certainly relieves tension.
