AI is not a threat to Artists

AI apps are unlikely to replace artists even though, AI technology  has made significant progress in generating visual and audio content. This is because in order to be unique artists paint things that is from their imagination. AI can only give those answers from information that has been programmed into them. With no imagination they are incapable of competing with the artists.

AI's impact on art is multifaceted, sparking debate and innovation. Benefits include creative augmentation, artistic collaboration, accessibility, preservation, and new art forms. AI-assisted or AI-generated art can inspire human artists, and tools like Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and Neural Style Transfer enable innovative art mediums. However, concerns arise regarding authenticity, homogenization, job displacement, emotional depth, and copyright issues. AI assisted or generative art will certainly challenge traditional notions of authorship and ownership.

In my view, artists should respond by embracing AI collaboration, exploring limitations and biases, and creating AI-assisted/generated art that opens new forms of expression and creativity.

Will AI replace human artists or augment creativity? Can AI-generated art convey emotional depth? How will copyright laws adapt? As AI continues to evolve, the art world must address these questions, embracing the potential benefits while preserving the essence of human creativity.

Exciting times ahead in the art world !!.

Such a beautiful perspective! AI gives us more time to focus on what matters—connecting with others and being creative. It’s not a threat; it’s an invitation to spend our time making a real impact where it counts."
