The Interaction of Microcosms in our Common Macrocosm.
It is difficult to comprehend how each of us, who incidentally happen to be a microcosm in his own right, could have a profound effect
on the whole of humanity. If the estimates are correct then soon this planet---the Macrocosm in question, would be populated by 6 billion microcosms, albeit not all will retain their sanity!
The reason why the sanity of most of us may be questioned being the actual motive behind our actions .e.g. when the property developers
claim that in developing a certain, perhaps, an uninhabited area or sparsely inhabited area, they are actually doing all of us a good turn,& the respective governments who authorize such destruction due to reasons that are not perfectly honourable & then the general masses who scramble
to own that property---in short mostly all of us are playing a superb role in accelerating the destruction of our world.
The small minority who do feel the guilt, generally brush it aside saying that what can an individual do about it. Hence, the topic under discussion
is that is it really true that our individual actions will not make a difference? My understanding of the religious scriptures have led me to believe
that if indeed each one of us is a universe or a microcosm in ourself--however miniscule a microcosm we may be, we are complete in ourselves!
This means that if we think this is a wrong thing to do then if we cannot stop it, we must protest against it or at least not go along with the tide.
For small strokes fell great oaks!
