Time Management & Technology

Latest technology has revolutionised our lives, so that we can find time for our hobbies, travel & entertainment. However sometimes those of us who want to keep abreast of the latest innovations find that we in actual effect cannot find enough time to relax. The main reason is that we are not tech-savvy. What should therefore be our priority is to concentrate on acquiring these skills rather than buying sophisticated electronics. Unless we know how the 3rd. Generation mobile phones were supposed to work; how on earth are we going to understand 4th generation mobile phones or better still artificial intelligence. The latest Apple phone capable of face recognition is quite a status symbol but it would be better if you could understand the full potential of AI. The number of applications that Apple can boast about is more than 10,000.

If there are only 365 days available to each one of us in a single year, it is not practical to try out all these applications so that we can decide for ourselves which one we would like to download & which ones may not be of any use to us. Therefore, it is very important that we allocate a few hours of each week-end on keeping track of what is new in the tech world so that when it comes to changing our car or tv or computer, we know what we need to buy for our particular requirements.

Those who belong to Gen Z are the first generation raised entirely in the digital age. This may be an advantage in several ways but some of us who belong to the generation of Baby Boomers have enjoyed a more balanced life--- you enjoyed being outdoors, had time for real Sports not just video games, met up with friends instead of messaging to them etc.

The other day someone commented that this person in the intensive care unit of a hospital was so dissapointed when he realised that inspite of having 500 facebook friends & 200 whatsapp friends, only his immediately family was waiting outside praying for his quick recoveryfeel

Therefore, it can hardly be adequately emphasised that now more than before time management is very important to lead a stress-free but productive life!
